On August 11, 2014, Dillon Taylor walked out of a local Salt Lake City, Utah, convenience store minding his own business. He wasn’t armed. He wasn’t committing a crime. He was listening to music on his headphones, probably in his own world.
Just two days after Officer Darren Wilson shot and killed an unarmed Mike Brown in Ferguson, Taylor would soon face a similar fate at the hands of a local officer. And on October 1, the district attorney in Salt Lake City, Sim Gill, ruled that the killing of 20-year-old Taylor was justified. Even in his determination, though, he stated that “Taylor’s shooting was justified not because he posed an actual threat, but because (Officer) Cruz reasonably perceived a threat.”
Now that the full video has been released, it’s disturbingly clear that nothing about this police shooting was justified. Nothing at all.

This is fucking disgusting, this police officer rolls up towards Dillon, not even taking note that he has headphones in and may not be able to hear. Pulls out his gun on when he gets to the fucking scene. He the proceeds to shoot him while he was taking his headphones out to clearly hear what the officer was saying. Then while Dillon is down bleeding quickly enough that he is unconscious, the cop has the nerve to tell him to put his hands behind his back so he can cuff him. What is the absolute fucking world did you need him cuffed for? YOU SHOT HIM HE WAS NOT MOVING WHEN YOU RAN TOWARDS HIM. Then officer Cruz has the nerve to say “Stay with me” “Come on, Stay with me.” YOU FUCKING SHOT HIM WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN STAY WITH YOU? You are the one who did it, no one else. You pulled the trigger. Also why would he want to ‘stay with you’? So that when/ if he recovers he is going to get an unfair trial and called another hood thug? Where you get a payed probation? This is disgusting, everybody need to wake up and see this shit as it really is.
